The Lion King (musical)

The Lion King is a musical based on the 1994 Disney animated film with music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice along with the musical score. Directed by Julie Taymor, the musical features actors in animal costumes as well as giant, hollow puppets.
The musical debuted July 8, 1997, in Minnesota at the Orpheum Theatre, and was an instant success before premiering on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theater on October 15, 1997 in previews with the official opening on November 13, 1997.
In September 2014, The Lion King became the top-earning title in box-office history for both stage productions and films, surpassing the record previously held by Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, of which was the first to gross over $6 billion.
I've never seen this musical but I would love to see it someday. I know many people that have seen it and loved it, moreover, it is one of the most famous musicals throughout Spain. In Spain we can see it in Madrid, in the theatre "Lope de Vega". I am sure it is amazing!

Christmas Day

Many people in the United States celebrate Christmas Day on December 25. The day celebrates Jesus Christ's birth. It is often combined with customs from pre-Christian winter celebrations. Many people erect Christmas trees, decorate their homes, visit family or friends and exchange gifts.
People celebrate Christmas Day in many ways. In the days or even weeks before Christmas Day, many people decorate their homes and gardens with lights, Christmas trees and much more. It is common to organize a special meal, often consisting of turkey and a lot of other festive foods, for family or friends and exchange gifts with them. Children, in particular, often receive a lot of gifts from their parents and other relatives and the mythical figure Santa Claus. This has led to Christmas Day becoming an increasingly commercialized holiday, with a lot of families spending a large part of their income on gifts and food. Many Sunday schools, churches and communities organize special events. These can include decorating the neighborhood or a shopping mall, putting up a Christmas tree and planning a Nativity display, concert or performance. A lot of plays and songs have a aspect of Christmas as a theme. Some groups arrange meals, shelter or charitable projects for people without a home or with very little money.

Technology

Nowadays, young people are experts in all kinds of technologies such as phones, tablets, laptops, cameras… Moreover, are used increasingly social networks like Facebook (the most famous worldwide), Twitter, Instagram and others. This can be a good or bad thing, depending on the point of view from which we look.
The main advantage of social network is that young people can communicate with each other, they can forward messages, and even they can make friends from other parts of the world. Thanks to search engines, we can navigate websites to find what we are looking for, as online shopping, information about something, images and whatever we want. In addition, an advantage of the new generation gadgets such as phones or tablets is that we can take them everywhere because they are small and easy to transport. Young people love to take pictures, so digital camera phones make photos of better quality than before.
However, one drawback is that now young people stalk in Facebook and other social networks too much, attentive to what others are doing, which can become an obsession. Furthermore, they become addicted to social networks and electronic gadgets because it is what everybody uses today, and society makes you feel discriminated unless you have a late model mobile or Facebook account.

Space debris

Is the rubbish something good for us? From my viewpoint it is something bad for the planet because the excess of these substances can be perjudicial for people. In the space there are also rubbish, but in other form. We can find a lot of objects floating in the space without aim. Space debris is harmless in the space, but if it falls to the Earth, it could be dangerous. Space debris is all that floats in the space but that is useless.

Where does space debris come from? Much of the space debris are originated for the explosion of a rocket or satellites. Most of the time it is rocket components that have been separated from it during the spaceflight.

The amount of space debris is increasing day by day, so the concern is the damage that space debris could cause to the missions like the famous space station.

Scientists have created a plan to eliminate space debris. It is eliminating one by one the pieces floating in space with a laser to turn it into gas and that falls in the Earth.

In concluding, we have to take care if we find a strange object on the ground that could come from the space. Space debris is very dangerous because it can  hit or hurt us. It is difficult to know when an object will fall in the Earth, but the meteorologists are always studying these phenomenons.

Paris, a beautiful place

The best place all over the world that I will visit in the future is Paris. If you want to go to spend the holidays in a place with beautiful scenery, you should visit this city.
It’s the most popular tourist destination in the world and I would catch a flight for the first time and go there. You can go sightseeing like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Pantheon, the Arch of Triumph, etc.
Without doubt the most prominent monument is the Eiffel Tower, an iron structure that measure three hundred meters and it was built for the Universal Exhibition of 1889 in Paris. From atop of this building we have terrific views. It’s located in the Campus Martius and it’s the symbol of France and his capital.
We also found the Pantheon, which was the first great monument of the city, or the Palace of Versailles, one of the most famous palaces in the world where the end of the First world War was signed.
As for the gastronomy, we can mention some of the main dishes like onion soup, duck a l’orange and the famous Ratatouille. As dessert we can mention the pain et confiture and you can’t miss the petits fours, small cakes. So I recommend everyone to visit this beautiful city, where it’s impossible to get bored.
